Situated on Birmingham’s high-tech Eastside in the impressive Millennium Point – also home to Thinktank Science Museum – The Giant Screen is the Midlands’ largest digital cinema and offers a truly immersive entertainment experience like no other. A series of major projection equipment upgrades in 2011 mean the supersized cinema now presents a wide range of 2D and 3D films in breathtaking high definition, and also features upgraded surround sound, new luxury seating – and that massive bright white screen. As well as showing the biggest blockbuster releases throughout the year, the upgrades also mean The Giant Screen is able to show, for the first time, live screenings of music, theatre and sporting events.
